Four US soldiers killed in Baghdad Green Zone clashes

BAGHDAD, April 29 (AP):

Bombardments by militants killed four U.S. soldiers as troops tried to push militants farther from the U.S.-protected Green Zone. The U.S. military said three soldiers were killed Monday in eastern Baghdad, but did not give an exact location for the attack. A fourth U.S. soldier was killed in western Baghdad, the military said. At least 44 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq in April, making it the deadliest month for U.S. forces since September.
